Your computer freezing on you is a moderate annoyance at the best of times.
When you’re live on air and you’re relying on it to read the news, though, it’s a total disaster.
On Wednesday, Scott Hanselman shared the following recording of a live BBC radio news broadcast that went a bit wrong:
“Just to let you know I’m having a bit of a problem with the software here,” the presenter says cheerfully in the clip above.
“And, er, I’m not sure I can continue with this news summary at the moment. Just bear with my while I see if my computer will un-freeze.”
From the sounds of it, the computer doesn’t un-freeze. But what the BBC may lack in reliable computers, it more than makes up for in impressively calm newsreaders.
credit to the presenter, he kept his cool like a pro.
