Britney Spears’ fiancé wants to make their household stronger than yesterday.

Sam Asghari, who proposed to Spears last month, revealed Friday that he had surprised the pop singer, 39, with a new dog. The Doberman puppy named Porsha was meant to “unconditionally love you and to be trained to protect you from any (expletive) that comes around you with bad intentions,” Asghari explained with a smile to Spears in an Instagram video as he held up their new pet.

The singer can be heard behind the camera saying hello to the “new addition to the family.” Asghari, 27, added the hashtag “#homesecurity” to his Instagram post.

Last month, a California district attorney announced Spears would not face charges in an incident allegedly involving her housekeeper arguing with Spears over veterinary care for another one of the singer’s dogs.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Office confirmed to USA TODAY in August that Spears was under investigation for misdemeanor battery for allegedly striking one of her employees. Two weeks later, the Ventura County District Attorney’s Office issued a news release saying that a misdemeanor unit supervisor “thoroughly reviewed the case” and “declined to file charges based upon insufficient evidence that a crime had occurred.”

Britney Spears’ conservatorship battle:Britney Spears’ father suspended as the keeper of her estate, judge rules

Britney Spears' fiancé, Sam Asghari, has gifted her with a Doberman puppy to protect her from "bad intentions."

Asghari has been vocal about wanting to help shield Spears from “bad intentions.” As the singer’s conservatorship battle has raged on, Asghari previously spoke out against Spears’ father, James “Jamie” Spears, then at the helm of her conservatorship.

“Now it’s important for people to understand that I have zero respect for someone trying to control our relationship and constantly throwing obstacles our way,” he wrote. “I didn’t come to this country to not be able to express my opinion and freedom.”

In September, the judge overseeing Britney Spears’ conservatorship ordered the suspension of her father from his longtime role as her guardian, and ordered him to turn over all her assets, estimated at about $60 million, to a temporary conservator.

Asghari was born in Tehran, Iran, and moved to the U.S. in 2006. The two have been a couple for the last four years after meeting on the set of Spears’ “Slumber Party” music video in 2016 and made their red carpet debut together in 2019 at the premiere for Quentin Tarantino’s “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”

Baby, one more time? Britney Spears’ boyfriend Sam Asghari wants to ‘be a young dad’

The couple announced their engagement Sept. 12 on Instagram, hours before the 2021 MTV Video Music Awards.

“I can’t (expletive) believe it,” Spears wrote on her Instagram account alongside videos showing off the four-carat ring with shocked expressions. “Look at that, do you like it?” Asghari asked of the ring in the short video, to which Spears replies, “Yesss!”

They received an outpouring of well-wishes from fans and stars alike, including Octavia Spencer, who weighed in with some advice: “Make him sign a prenup,” she commented on Spears’ post. Her suggestion garnered nearly 1,000 replies, and even Asghari addressed it on his Instagram Story.

“Thank you everyone who is concerned about the prenup!” he wrote alongside laughing face emojis. “Of course we’re getting iron clad prenup to protect my jeep and shoe collection in case she dumps me one day.”
