Steakhouse 71, the replacement for The Wave… of American Flavors is set to open on October 1 at Disney’s Contemporary Resort. Steakhouse 71 is named so in homage to 1971, the year that Walt Disney World opened. The resort is celebrating its 50th anniversary on October 1. The concept art shows the new look for the venue, leaning heavily into the 1970s decor style.

A variety of alcoholic beverages will be available, including some custom-designed for the restaurant. The Citrus Grove Cocktail (Italian bitter, green herbal liqueur, citrus juices, simple syrup, and orange bitters) references the original orange groves that stood on the land that would become Walt Disney World.

There will also be the Steakhouse 71 Vodka Gimlet (vodka, green herbal liqueur, herbal blend, lime juice, simple syrup, and Minute Maid Premium Lemonade), with a “Lily pad garnish in honor of Lillian Disney.”
