Lorde had to get an ‘IV drip’ after a crazy day drinking session with Seth Meyers on Late Night

Lorde had a few too many drinks with Seth Meyers during one of his Late Night ‘Day Drinking’ segments.

The 24-year-old singer (born Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor) took part in Myers, 47, regular Day Drinking segments, which he’s previously done with Rihanna, The Jonas Brothers, Kelly Clarkson and more.

The duo shared some drinks at Zero Bond in New York City where they discussed all matters of things like her full name, with the singer admitting afterwards she had to be put on an IV drip.

The singer was promoting her upcoming album Solar Power on the program Wednesday night, when they debuted the previously-filmed segment.

When Meyers asked how hungover she was the next day, Lorde responded, ‘I almost can’t even talk about it. I can’t even look at an alcoholic drink ever again.’

She added it was ‘insane,’ while Myers said they filmed the segment last Monday, but the next day she appeared on CBS’ The Late Show With Stephen Colbert.

Meyers said he watched that and was ‘nervous’ because he had taken her out so late and was worried she wouldn’t perform well, but she did.

She admitted, ‘You did kind of destroy me and I did have to get a very pop star thing, an IV drip.’

She added that someone, ‘came to my hotel and administered fluids to my corpse’ before she performed on The Late Show.

The 12-minute segment featured Lorde and Meyers imbibing Solar Power-themed cocktails, along with Japanese sake, some Irish whiskey, red wine from France and some White Claw.

Meyers also decided to make it his, ‘mission,’ to learn her full given name of Ella Marija Lani Yelich-O’Connor.

The singer could ask him to recite her full name, and every time he got it wrong he had to take a shot.
