It will be the third animated drama in development for the franchise as it had been reported that they were already working on one in January.

One of those three projects will actually be set in a territory that has never been seen in the original series: The Golden Empire of Yi Ti.

According to the publication the region is a continent of Essos and is considered one of the oldest  and most advanced societies in creator George R.R. Martin’s fantasy realm.

It is also inspired by Imperial China in the same way that Westeros was inspired by Medieval Europe. Yi Ti had one brief reference in the original GoT series.

THR also reports that one live action prequel concept, called Flea Bottom, is no longer moving forward.

It was reportedly supposed to be based on life in the infamous King’s Landing slum.

Insiders for the publication say that it was the most fresh of all the ideas made public but was never actually confirmed by HBO.

Regardless, the Game Of Thrones franchise just keeps on giving as back in May it was announced that HBO was  moving forward on one of its three new spin-offs titled 10,000 Ships.

The network has brought on Amanda Segel (Helstrom, Person of Interest) to write the script for the project, according to Deadline.

10,000 Ships was one of three new Thrones spin-offs announced back in March, along with 9 Voyages (a.k.a. Sea Snake) and Flea Bottom.

10,000 Ships will take place approximately 1,000 years before the events depicted in the Game of Thrones TV series, based on the A Song of Ice and Fire novels by George R.R. Martin.

The new series will follow the journey made by Princess Nymeria, along with the other surviving members of the Rhoynars.

The show will chronicle their journey from Essos to Dorne, after they were defeated by the Valyrian Freehold during the Second Spice War.

Princess Nymeria was a character admired by many in Westeros and Essos, who was named after two characters in the books and the series.

One of the deadly ‘Sand Snakes’ – the daughters of Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal) and Ellaria Sand (Indira Varma) – was named Nymeria Sand in her honor, played by Jessica Henwick.

Maisie Williams’ Arya Stark also named her beloved direwolf Nymeria, after this beloved Princess.

The 9 Voyages (a.k.a. Sea Snake) series is being developed by Rome and Gotham creator Bruno Heller, along with author Martin.

That show will follow the, ‘great voyages at sea made by Corlys Velaryon aboard the Sea Snake ship.’

The Flea Bottom series title refers to ‘poorest slum district’ in King’s Landing, described as, ‘a maze-like warren of narrow streets and dark alleys filled with tanneries, brothels and ale houses.’

It’s unclear who will be writing or producing the Flea Bottom spin-off series for the network at this time.

HBO already has one Game of Thrones spin-off in production, House of the Dragon, which is slated to debut in 2022.

That series will follow the reign of House Targaryen, which ruled Westeros for over 300 years before Robert’s Rebellion.
