The 27-year-old singer songwriter joined James Corden on The Late Late Show for the musical No Lockdowns Anymore, which celebrated the end of most Covid-19 restrictions in New York and California on Tuesday.
The number was a parody of the Hairspray number Good Morning Baltimore and featured a cameo appearance from the Broadway musical’s star Marissa Jaret Winokur.
She’s back! Ariana Grande, 27, returned to TV a month after marrying Dalton Gomez with a musical number Tuesday on The Late Late Show With James Corden marking the end of New York’s lockdown
Ariana gave her 243 million Instagram followers a heads-up before her TV appearance by sharing her unmissable yellow dress.
The outfit was of a piece with the 1960s-inspired ensembles she has worn in marketing for her most recent album Positions, which was released in October of last year.
The canary yellow dress featured a plunging top and puffy shoulder sleeves, with a thick yellow belt around her midriff to emphasize her slender frame.
The 34+35 singer showed off her hypnotizing yellow patterned stockings and her square-toed yellow platform heels in one photo as she puckered up her lips while appearing to sit in a green room.

Another photo put the focus on her fancy footwear as she posed next to Marissa, who had on rainbow-colored open-toe shoes.
She also gave her fans a closeup that showcased her impeccably made-up face and her lustrous brunette locks, which were parted down the middle and rested on her shoulders.
‘fun with my friend @j_corden!’ she wrote, before urging her fans to tune in to the late-night show.
‘P.s. there may even be a very special, heart attack provoking cameo made by a Tony Award winning, friend of mine!’ she gushed, referring to Marissa’s surprise appearance.
Later, the Thank U, Next singer posted a photo to her Instagram Stories of her perfectly coiffed hairdo, as well as a repost of a Donatella Versace Instagram post.
‘A Versace Princess,’ the legendary fashion designer wrote of Ariana, while the singer added, ‘love you @donatella_versace.’

Her musical number opened with Corden stepping out on a New York City stoop in a pale pink bathrobe only to be surprised by the bustle and noise of people going about their regular activities.
‘Wow, this is new!’ he sang as he ran down the street — still in his robe — to see ‘hot people at brunch’ dining without worry of catching the novel coronavirus.
June 15 marked the end of most coronavirus restrictions in both New York and California, where at least 70 percent of residents have had at least one vaccine dose.
As the states move closer to potential herd immunity, fully vaccinated people are now allowed to enter most businesses without masks, though vaccinated people must continue to mask up.
In the video, Ariana joined the tune as she exited a salon while stylists surrounded her with mirrors and spray bottles.
‘Look at my hair! / I’m no longer scared / to have it cut!’ she sang, before heading to an outdoor gym
Modern classic: The song, No Lockdowns Anymore, was a parody of the Hairspray tune Good Morning Baltimore
Cameo: Fittingly, she ran into Marissa Jaret Winokur, who starred in the Broadway version of Hairspray
All in a day: They stopped to ‘say hi on the street’ and ‘air kiss on the cheek’ before running off to ‘get drunk and get matching tattoos’

Tuesday night’s jubilant song-and-dance number was the first time Ariana has ventured on television since her surprise nuptials to Dalton Gomez exactly one month earlier on May 15.
The songstress tied the knot with the realtor in an intimate ceremony with just 20 guests at their California home.
According to sources close to the couple, Ariana and Dalton couldn’t have been happier with how their special day turned out.
‘She realized that she would rather have a smaller, more intimate wedding now,’ a source to People. ‘She’s very happy they were able to pull it off quietly.’
The source added that while she and Dalton, 25, initially had a ‘big wedding’ in mind after their December engagement, they didn’t think it was realistic to wait until the pandemic had dissipated.
The couple began dating in January of 2020 and got close through much of the pandemic, when they quarantined together at her Montecito home.
